Supporters of both clubs were treated to an extremely exciting finish to our Donald Cameron League campaign last night.

Matchplay golf at its best , momentum shifts and birdies galore.

We got off to a slow start and by the time matches reached the 8th we were up in 2 and down in 6. With Angus visiting Royal Belfast, at this point Gordon’s negative Yin was most certainly missing Angus’s positive Yang.

By the 13th we had managed to ‘level’ the matches at 4 apiece, a few holes later our noses were in front only to be pegged back at the death.

5 of the 8 matches went down the last – great entertainment for the neutrals.

Special mention to young Cameron Burns in his debut season – played 5 won 5 .
With 4 wins and 2 draws we sit top of the league.

Sandyhills have to win their 2 remaining matches and overcome a plus 9 holes up to overtake us.
