Summer 2024 Honours Board Competitions
Qualifying Criteria
The Qualifying Criteria for Puckrup Main Club Honours board events has been reviewed and the latest version is now posted in the Document Store under the Competitions & Open tab.
Honours Board Competitions
All Honours Board competitions will have 'HBC' in the title and the Qualifying Criteria will be in the competition description. These competitions will be drawn events.
Members who do not meet the Qualifying Criteria may still play in the competition if there is space, however priority will be given to players who do meet the QC.
Players not meeting the QC will not be eligible for any prizes apart from the two’s competition. Neither will they be awarded points if the competition is also an Order of Merit (OOM) event. Any OOM points and prizes will go to the next placed player who does meet the QC. All rounds will still stand for WHS purposes.
The first Honours Board competition is the Wilson Chalice Bogey on Sunday 26th May.
Order of Merit
The Order of Merit is an Honours Board competition but is slightly different. It is a series of 10 events associated to other Honours Board and non-Honours Board competitions. Any Qualifying Criteria will be in the competition description.
OOM points are awarded on where the player finishes in the competition i.e., 1st = 100, 2nd = 90 etc.
Members who do not initially meet the Qualifying Criteria may play in all competitions that are associated with the OOM, but they will not be awarded OOM points until they meet the QC. The OOM points will go to the next placed player who does meet the QC. All rounds will still stand for WHS purposes.
The first OOM competition is the 'Sunday Medal incorporating the County Medal' this Sunday, 19th May.
Club Championships
The booking window for the Club Championships will open on Sunday 16th June at 1900 and close at 1900 on Thursday 27th June.
The Qualifying Criteria for the Club Championships is a minimum of 4 rounds in PHGC Main Club qualifying competitions off the white tees within the 12 months prior to the closing date of the competition.
Sunday Roll Up competitions.
Please note that there is a Sunday Roll Up competition on Sunday 2nd June for those not playing in the PHGC Mixed Open and on Sunday 23rd June after the Dawn Run on the 22nd.
