This Tuesday Royal Jersey Ladies Silver and Bronze Teams welcomed La Moye for the annual fixture for the Langly-Smith and The Bronze Cup.

The Royal won the Langly-Smith, with convincing wins by Shelagh Herbert and Jane Lansdell, Victoria Vawser and Annette Ramage both winning 6 and 5. Lady Captain Julie and Nicki Langly-Smith winning their match 4 and 3. The other 3 matches were all very close, adding the vital points needed for the overall win. Well Done Ladies on keeping the Trophy at the Royal.

The Bronze Team’s matches were much closer than the final result suggests, with 2 matches being lost by the one hole. Anita Whitnell and Isobel Brocken, playing her first match for the Royal, won their match 3 and 2, Danielle Alsop and Sue Bults winning 2 up, a 1/2 point was added by Lori Moran and Viv Hornsey which left the Royal losing 2 1/2 - 3 1/2.

All players battled with the keen wind which at times moved the ball into the unforgiving rough!
A lovely lunch for 48 ladies was enjoyed, at the end of which Julie thanked everyone involved for the smooth running of the day.
