Suffolk Ladies County Championships
Success for IGC Ladies
Another successful year at the Suffolk County Championships for the Ipswich Golf Club Ladies. The 1st day was a 36 holes medal competition and out of the 12 ladies that were through to the next round, 5 of IGC ladies qualified, please see them in the picture, from left to right, Sharon Luckman, Sammy Annis, Abbie Symonds, Josie Knights, Liz Higgins.
The ladies continued to do us proud over the next two days with the results as follows:
Abbie Symonds won the Strokeplay
Sharon Luckman won the nett Strokeplay
Abbie Symonds was the runner up of the match play
Liz Higgins was the runner up on the nett matchplay.
A special mention should also go to our junior member, Josie Knights, who made it to the semi final where she lost to the eventual winner, Alice Barlow after a real battle, losing out on the 20th hole.
