As we look to play our first competitive golf this weekend , we need to understand the rule for the area around the 5th green.
There is a solid blue line marking the newly seeded area along with the new path and the banking to the left of the green, this area is a no play zone and a mandatory lift and drop must be taken in the original drop zone short left of the green which is marked with white paint and the letters DZ. This is put in place to protect the newly seeded area and everyone’s golf clubs, failure to take the drop will result in loss of hole in match play or 2 stroke penalty
